Eleanor de Clare

Eleanor de Clare, eldest daughter of the Red Earl of Gloucester by Joan of Acre and so a granddaughter of Edward I, was married at fourteen to Hugh le Despenser the younger and lived to see him become the most hated man in England and die on the fifty-foot gallows. She was imprisoned in the Tower, abducted and forcibly remarried by a suitor after her release, and ended her days rebuilding Tewkesbury Abbey as her family's mausoleum, where the glass she paid for still glows. She died in 1337, the great heiress of the de Clares, and this line carries her blood with the abbey's colours.
