About

Garcia Iniguez, son of the founder Inigo Arista, reigned over Pamplona through the middle of the ninth century, fighting Moor and Frank alike for the little kingdom's right to exist. Both this tree's Pamplonan roads - through Sancho of Larraun's line and through King Fortun - descend from him.

Research notes

GARCIA INIGUEZ, King of PAMPLONA (c.810-882); father of both Sancho and Fortun (our line converges through the Arista cousins). Standard well-documented medieval royal/comital genealogy per the cited authorities; contested rungs note-only, not hardened.
