Hawise de Beaumont was a daughter of Robert de Beaumont, second Earl of Leicester and Justiciar of England, and she married William FitzRobert, second Earl of Gloucester. Her daughter Amice carried the Gloucester inheritance, and the royal blood with it, into the house of Clare.
