About
Honora FitzGerald was a daughter of the Earl of Desmond and a cousin of her husband, Thomas the Stammerer, seventh Baron of Kerry. The Geraldines of Desmond and the FitzMaurices of Kerry were kin who married each other for three hundred years and fought each other almost as often.

Direct ancestress. Added 22 Jul 2026. ||AUDIT 30 Jul 2026|| ENDPOINT held as NOTE-ONLY SPLICE: Honora's descent from the Earls of Desmond is a Burke's Peerage claim, not a proven join, so the deep Desmond/Geraldine chain is deliberately NOT hard-wired onto her. ||CROSS-REFERENCE 6 Aug 2026|| Her claimed father 'James Geraldine, Earl of Desmond' = James 6th Earl (d.1462/3), NOW A WIRED DIRECT ANCESTOR (I100235) via the Roche-Desmond gateway.
