Irmtrud of Luxembourg (Imiza)

~ Irmtrud (Imiza) (d. after 2 Aug 1055, bur. Altomunster), wife of Welf II von Altdorf (Genealogia Welforum: 'Imizam nomine, Heinrici Noricorum ducis sororem et Friderici ducis Lotharingorum et Alberonis Metensis episcopi', with a dowry in Lombardy; Weingarten codex: 'Irmindrude...de Glizberc'); mother of Kunigunde and Welf III. Medieval Lands brackets her as a daughter of Friedrich, Count in the Moselgau, and discusses that she may have been 'Gleiberg', born of an unrecorded earlier marriage of his wife - hence ~. RING (~) into Frederick of Luxembourg (I100099): sister or half-sister of Ogive, Countess of Flanders. Source: Medieval Lands (fmg.ac, Cawley), read 5 Nov 2026: 'Luxembourg'.
