About
Isabel Bigod carried as much charter blood as any woman of her generation: daughter of a Magna Carta surety, granddaughter of another, and granddaughter of William Marshal the regent. She married twice and left a great progeny across the Anglo-Irish nobility; this line descends from her daughter Joan FitzJohn, and by other beds her blood returns to this tree again and again.
