Research notes
Julia Mary Elliott nee Condon; a shop assistant of 112 Old George's St, Cork at her 1907 marriage; wife of Cornelius Elliott, mother of John Francis Elliott (b. 1908). Birth: Julia Condon, b. 22 Nov 1871 at Farran, Kilmalooda (Timoleague district, Clonakilty union, West Cork); father James Condon FARMER, mother Honora nee Dineen - the same couple whose marriage is documented at Bandon 11 Feb 1871 (Julia their firstborn, 9 months on), so the birth is now documented. She married as a "spinster" aged ~35 in 1907 and had three children - consistent with a late marriage. (The only soft link is name + father's name/occupation tying this Julia to Cornelius's wife; it supersedes an earlier, rejected 1872 Cork-city candidate whose father was a labourer. Her maiden name has a second, independent attestation: Cornelius's own 1919-20 army history sheet declares his wife "Julia Condon, spinster, Cork".) (Aynsley's mother, Julia Mary Elliott, was named after her.) d. 1951 per Jeanne Elliott's tree (July 2026, claim - not yet verified); Pat Elliott holds photographs of Julia with her three young Elliott boys (copies promised by email). Aynsley's maternal great-grandmother. Added June 2026; birth added July 2026. [DIRECT ANCESTOR OF THE COMPILER: flag added 24 Jul 2026 by walking the tree from Aynsley, so that this marker is reliable and can be searched.]
