✓ Juliane, 'da. of William de Cauntelo (d. 1251), by Milicent, widow of Amauri (de Montfort) Count of Evreux, da. of Hugh de Gurnay (Gornai)'; m. 'presumably before 1 Aug. 1245' Robert de Tregoz of Ewyas Harold (d. 1268); 'Juliane was living on 6 Aug. 1285' (CP XII/2 'Tregoz' pp.19-20). CP p.20 n.(a): 'Juliane was the sister of William, who became lord of Abergavenny by marrying Eve de Briouze, of Nicholas, ancestor of the Cauntelo lords of Greasley, Notts, and of Thomas, d. 1282, bishop of Hereford' - St Thomas Cantilupe. The 'Tregoz letter' quoted by Medieval Lands purports to be hers, to her brother the bishop. Mother of John, Lord Tregoz (I101990).
