Maud de Barry

✓ Maud de Barry, wife of Maurice fitz John (slain 1261) and mother of Thomas fitz Maurice (d.1298): so named, then living, in the Inq. p.m. on John fitz Thomas 8 Aug 1282, and (deceased) in the Inq. p.m. on Thomas fitz Maurice 28 Apr 1300 (CP IV p.234 n.d). Her parentage is not given by CP; the Barrys of Olethan (later Lords Barry/Buttevant) are the obvious family - not wired. Source: Complete Peerage 2nd edn vol.
