Robert Elliott of Golden in County Tipperary married Julianna Connors at Golden in April 1836. He is the point at which this family's Elliott line, which had been Protestant in the borderland, appears in a Catholic register: a crossing made in the direction that cost standing rather than gained it.

Julia (Julianna) Connors 16 Apr 1836 at Golden RC - DOCUMENTED (NLI register image, photographed by Jeanne Elliott: "Robert Elliott to Julianna Connors, present John Connors & John Cleary"). Children bapt. Golden: Mary (1836), Catherine (1839), the TWINS John (~ our line) & James (10 Apr 1842, register image) and Thomas (1844). b. ABT 1812 per Jeanne's tree - NB SOFT, and now in tension with the parents' 1813 marriage bond (see @F99034@); if the naming grid ran true he was the THIRD son, b. ~1818-20, marrying young in 1836. His siblings' Golden baptisms (John 1814, Henry 1816, Anne 1825, Eliza n.d.) place the family at Golden from 1814. PARENTAGE ~ CLAIMED (Jeanne, July 2026): son of Robert Elliott of Birr (b. 1774) & Alice Acres - the parents' 1813 bond is now documented, but no baptism record produced for Robert jnr himself; note also the denomination shift (the parents CoI; the Golden marriage & baptisms RC - mixed marriage or conversion plausible, unproven) and that his own children's grid lacks a Robert among the sons, an honest strike still standing. Aynsley's maternal 3x great-grandfather on the ~ Golden join. Added July 2026.
