Simon White Sheriff of Limerick

✓ Simon White, Sheriff of Limerick, living 1684 - the earliest documented ancestor of the Whites of Cappaghwhite, Lisowen and Kilmoylan (Burke's Irish Family Records 1976); father of Simon White of Knockcentry, Mayor of Limerick 1696 (I81033). TOP: BIFR could take the line no further - the family's arms match those of John White (d. 1555) at St Mary's, Clonmel, and the Whites supplied Limerick with mayors from 1213, but no filiation is established.
