About

Toda Aznarez, Queen of Pamplona, was one of the formidable women of the early Reconquista: regent for her son, matriarch whose daughters married half the kings of Spain, and aunt of the Caliph Abd-al-Rahman III himself - whom she once visited in Cordoba to buy medicine and alliance, bringing home a cure for her grandson's fatness and a treaty. Nearly every royal line in this tree's Spanish quarter passes through her.
