About
Urse d'Abetot (died 1108), the Conqueror's sheriff of Worcester for forty years, built Worcester Castle into the cathedral's cemetery and earned Archbishop Ealdred's famous curse: 'Hattest thu Urs? Have thu Godes kurs' - 'Is your name Urse? Have God's curse.' His heiress carried everything to the Beauchamps.
