The Reverend Vere Hunt of Curragh married Constantia Piers in 1712 and was buried at Kilcooly Abbey in 1759. Through his wife the Piers baronets, the Barons Kerry, the Geraldines and the O'Briens of Thomond all enter this family.

Vere, his heir"); m. 1712 CONSTANTIA PIERS, eldest dau. of Sir William Piers, Bt, of Tristernagh (Burke's Peerage DE VERE article p.296 + Limerick Archives P22); d. 1759, BURIED AT KILCOOLY ABBEY, co. Tipperary (the parish whose rector's daughter his own mother was). Four sons per the De Vere lineage: VERE (our line), Henry (ancestor of the Cappagh branch and the Hunts of Georgia), John, William.
