About
William Taillefer, 'the cleaver', held Toulouse for sixty years across the turn of the millennium; he is the secure head of the comital line, for the generations above him are disputed among the historians and are not hardened here. His parents Raymond III and Adelaide, per the revised scholarship, now stand above him.
