About
Adelaide-Blanche of Anjou (c.940-1026) was a daughter of Fulk the Good of Anjou and one of the most-married great ladies of the tenth century: among her husbands were William the Liberator of Provence and; briefly and unhappily; the boy-king Louis V, last Carolingian ruler of France, making her for a moment a queen. In widowhood she governed in Provence with her sons. Both William II of Provence and Queen Constance of Arles, her children, are our ancestors.
