About
Winifred O'Connor, a daughter of the O'Connor Corc, married Maithan Maonmaighe O'Brien and was mother of Brian of Nenagh. She is one of the chain of Gaelic noblewomen - O'Connor, MacGorman, MacNamara, O'Kennedy, O'Hyne, O'Mulloy - whose marriages knit the O'Brien descent of this family together, and whose names the pedigrees kept when so much else was lost.
