About
Ambrose Going married a Pennefather of New Park in 1812, so within two generations his family had married a White of Kilmoylan and a Pennefather of New Park - two houses this family descends from, in the same Tipperary drawing room.
Research notes
✓ AMBROSE GOING, of BALLYPHILIP, co. Tipperary, b. Oct 1785, son of William Going by MARY WHITE of Kilmoylan; m. Feb 1812 MARGARET, 4th dau. of Col. RICHARD PENNEFATHER of NEW PARK, co. Tipperary; d. Aug 1857. NEW PARK is the Pennefather seat that came to that family through LEVINA KINGSMILL (I99020, our direct ancestress), 'heir of Ballyowen, aft. New Park'. So this one Tipperary house married into BOTH of our families in consecutive generations - independent social corroboration that the White-of-Kilmoylan and Pennefather-of-New-Park placements sit in the right circle.
