About
Bethoc, daughter and heiress of King Malcolm II, is the bridge over which the Scottish crown passed from the old MacAlpin male line to the House of Dunkeld: married to Crínán, the lay abbot of Dunkeld, she was mother of King Duncan I and grandmother of Malcolm Canmore. Every later king of Scots descends from her; as do we.
