About

Catherine Travers married into Drombeg in 1782 and brought with her, through her mother, the blood of Elizabeth Freke, elder sister of the Sir Arthur Freke who bought Rathbarry in 1641. The result was that the Joneses of Drombeg paid their head-rent to their own cousins.
