Isabel de Bolebec was heiress of the barony of Bolebec and Countess of the third Earl of Oxford. Her inheritance gave the de Veres the style Viscount Bulbeck, which every heir of the house carried for four hundred years afterwards, including the boy named in the 1562 will that proves this family's descent.
