Joan de Valence

Joan de Valence was a daughter of William de Valence, Earl of Pembroke, the king's Lusignan half-brother, by Joan de Munchensi the Marshal heiress. She married the Red Comyn, Lord of Badenoch, and was near her lying-in when he was stabbed before the Greyfriars altar at Dumfries; their daughter Elizabeth carried the murdered Guardian's blood into the Talbots and to this family.
