✓ DOCUMENTED. ⚠ ROTHERFIELD, NOT GROBY: this is the Oxfordshire barony of Grey of Rotherfield (cr. 1338, ext. 1387) - it does NOT carry the Ferrers-of-Groby / Elizabeth de Clare blood; never conflate the two Grey houses. Gray of Rotherfeld' = his father SIR JOHN DE GREY of Rotherfield (d.1313, quasi-summons 1296/7) by MARGARET DE ODINGSELLS of Maxstoke, co. Warwick - whose Warwickshire coheirship explains the Raleigh match. Father wired (I100691); Joane's attachment graded ~ (visitation naming + CP chronological elimination), the couple themselves ✓ CP. Same resolution pattern as Jane Foliot.
