✓ DOCUMENTED: RICHARD FOLIOT, father of MARGARET (I100365, our line, wife of Sir John Camoys) and of ANOTHER RICHARD FOLIOT, to whom Margaret was COHEIR - so the son predeceased without surviving issue and the Foliot inheritance divided among daughters. b. 25 Dec 1283 (aged 15 at Christmas 1298); lands liberated 18 Oct 1299; in the King's service overseas Jan 1307/8; m. (marriage granted 16 Sep 1310) Joan de Braose, widow of James de Bohun of Maddenstown (CP V pp.539-540). ⚠ See the caution on his daughter's record about the separate SIR RICHARD FOLIOT who fathered Jane Foliot (I99537) on the de Vere line - possibly this man, possibly a kinsman, NOT ASSUMED EITHER WAY.
