About
Robert, Lord Ferrers of Chartley, married Margaret le Despenser and died in 1413, buried at Merevale among his Ferrers forebears. His mother was a Stafford whose own grandmother was Margaret Audley - which quietly carries a third descent from Joan of Acre through this rung, riding pillion on the Ferrers name.
