About
Sir William Kingsmill of Sydmonton was Sheriff of Hampshire in 1564 and died in 1592, master of the estate his grandfather had bought from the Crown. He married Bridget Raleigh of Thornborough, and through her this line reaches Edward I; their sixth son crossed to Ireland, and from him came the Kingsmills of Ballybeg.
