About
Thomas de Camoys, Lord Camoys, commanded the left wing of the English army at Agincourt on 25 October 1415, and was made a Knight of the Garter for it. The eleventh Earl of Oxford was in the centre of the same field on the same morning. This family descends from both men, who fought in different divisions a few hundred yards apart and whose lines would not meet for another four hundred years.

(c.1350-1421), of Trotton, Sussex - COMMANDER OF THE LEFT WING AT AGINCOURT 1415 - the tree's SECOND Agincourt commander (with Richard de Vere, 11th Earl, I99514, who commanded in the centre: two direct ancestors on the same field, in different divisions). His brass at Trotton, beside his 2nd wife Elizabeth Mortimer, is among the finest in England. m. 1st ELIZABETH LOUCHES (dau. and heiress of William Louches - OUR LINE: mother of Alice, per Richardson 2004, crux resolved 23 Jul 2026); m. 2nd (by 1406) Elizabeth Mortimer, widow of HOTSPUR - who shares his famous Trotton brass but is NOT our ancestress.
