William de Ros, second Lord Ros of Helmsley, Werke and Belvoir, was summoned to Parliament under two Edwards and served as Lord High Admiral. He married Margery de Badlesmere and was buried at Kirkham Priory among his ancestors, in a house descended from Robert de Ros, Magna Carta surety - which makes the Ros barony this family's further, quieter road back to Runnymede.
