Research notes
~ DOCUMENTED AS ANCESTOR, RUNG GRADED ~ (Burke's LGI 'Falkiner of Mount Falcon' p.216, photographed and read 6 Aug 2026: 'Daniel, of Dublin, b. 16 Dec. 1641, ancestor of FALKINER, Bart.'; corroborated by the cousin relationship between Lord Mayor Daniel Falkiner and Sir Riggs Falkiner): DANIEL FALKINER of Dublin (b.1641), 2nd son of Michael Falkiner of Leeds; father (per the standard account, to be confirmed in the Burke's Peerage FALKINER article) of Caleb of Cork (our line). Direct ancestor at grade ~. ||UPGRADED ✓ 6 Aug 2026 (Burke's Peerage & Baronetage, FALKINER article pp.1380-81, photographed)|| The rung is now DOCUMENTED: 'DANIEL FALKINER's 3rd s, CALEB FALKINER, of Cork; merchant.' Daniel bapt 16 Dec 1641; m. 1694 REBECCA, dau. of - Blackwell and widow of Henry Hamilton of Bailieborough, Co Cavan; d. between 8 Mar and 8 Apr 1705. ⚠ CHRONOLOGY CAVEAT: his eldest son John of Nangor married c.1700 and Caleb married 1707, so the elder sons (Caleb likely included) must predate the 1694 Rebecca marriage - Caleb's MOTHER is therefore left unidentified (an earlier, unrecorded wife is implied); Rebecca is documented as Daniel's 1694 wife only, and is deliberately NOT wired as Caleb's mother. Grade of the Daniel-Caleb rung itself: ✓.
