Research notes

✓ Guethenoc, vicomte of the château de Thro-en-Porhoët (1008-1046), witness with Alain Count of Cornouaille and his son 'Gozolinus' to the bishop of Vannes's restitution to Redon, 1021; 'Guethenocus vicecomes de Castello Thro' granted rights to Redon. The earliest of the vicomtes de Porhoët (later Rohan). Medieval Lands gives his wife as Allarum, daughter of Benedict, Count of Cornouaille, but notes that 'the primary source which confirms her parentage and marriage has not yet been identified' - not wired, note only. Source: Medieval Lands (fmg.ac, Cawley), Brittany Nobility (Porhoët; Cornouaille). [DIRECT ANCESTOR OF THE COMPILER: flag added 15 Oct 2026 by walking the tree from Aynsley, so that this marker is reliable and can be searched.]
