Tomas ap Llywelyn, lord of Iscoed and Gwynionydd in Ceredigion, was of the royal line of Deheubarth, and it is through him that Owain Glyndwr - and this family - descend from the Lord Rhys and the old kings of the south.

DOCUMENTED FLOOR of the wired line: the descent above him through the princes of Deheubarth to THE LORD RHYS and RHYS AP TEWDWR (I99840, already in the tree by other roads) is the documented Welsh pedigree (Bartrum) but is left NOTE-ONLY here, a traditional royal descent not hard-wired - so Glyndwr's Deheubarth loop onto the existing Welsh kings is noted, not forced.
