Agnes (fitz Brian)

~ Agnes, wife of Sir Alan fitz Brian and mother of Brian FitzAlan, who named her in his Bedale chantry; 'Agnes late the wife of Alan fitz Brian' 1267. 'Said to have been' daughter of Sir Randolf fitz Henry of Ravensworth (Complete Peerage) - that parentage not wired. Complete Peerage V pp.416-417 (FITZHUGH, pages supplied by Aynsley 15 Oct 2026) sets out Randolf fitz Henry of Ravensworth (d. before 13 Jan 1242/3) × Alice, dau. and heir of Adam de Staveley, but names no daughter Agnes - so the Ravensworth link stays unproven.
