Research notes

✓ DOCUMENTED per COMPLETE PEERAGE 1st edn vol. VI, PEMBROKE, p.205 (entry IX) and p.204 note: 'JOAN, 5th (according to the French poem... and not, as usually supposed, the 2nd da.), who m. after 14 May 1219, Warine Monchensy... of Swayneschamp, co. Kent (d. 1255)' - her children Sir William de Monchensy (d.1289) and 'Joan m. William de Valence.' Page images supplied by Aynsley 8 Aug 2026. LOOP: wired as a fourth daughter in the EXISTING family F99540 (William Marshal I99569 x Isabel de Clare I99570), beside her sisters Isabel, Maud and Eva Marshal, all already ancestresses - so the Valence-Comyn-Talbot ladder braids into the proven Marshal/Strongbow/Aoife/Diarmait MacMurchada descent, adding a NEW ROAD to the King of Leinster.
