✓ Richard, son of Ranulf the Moneyer, 'perhaps 2nd but 1st surv. s. and h.', of whom nothing is known but the name; presumably dead in 1061, when his brother Waleran had the mill of Vains. Father of John (I100770), styled 'John s. of Richard' in his gift of the tithe of Saxlingham to St Peter's, Gloucester, and 'John nepos Walerami' (nephew of Waleran) in Domesday 1086.
