About

Robert de Quincy, a son of the Magna Carta surety Saer de Quincy, married Hawise, Countess of Lincoln in her own right, and died young in 1217, within two years of Runnymede. Their only daughter Margaret carried the earldom of Lincoln to her husband, and the line runs through her.
