Research notes

✓ DOCUMENTED per Cokayne, Complete Peerage 1st edn, SURREY pp.322-328 (page images supplied by Aynsley 24 Aug 2026), entry 4-bis: m. 1164 the Countess Isabel. ⭐ LOOP: wired as an ILLEGITIMATE son of GEOFFREY V OF ANJOU (I99794, existing - mother unrecorded, single-parent family by the tree's Robert-of-Gloucester convention) - so the Angevin house reaches us outside the royal line too.
