✓ Robert de Tosny (Todeni), the Domesday lord of Belvoir, Leicestershire, who built Belvoir Castle and founded Belvoir Priory; m. Adelais; father of William de Tosny (d.s.p.), Albreda and Alice, wife of Roger Bigod, through whom (and her daughter Cecily) Belvoir passed to the d'Aubignys. Not the same as the Tosnys of Conches in this tree; his origin is not wired. Sources: Medieval Lands, 'English Nobility Medieval' (Bigod); CP IX p.578; Wikipedia 'Robert de Todeni'.
